Music and Movement

Offered to Hummingbirds, Owls, Redbirds, Woodpeckers and Eagles. A local provider of a creative movement and dance program brings music to life with traditional and new songs. Various instruments introduce children to the world of music with ukuleles, tambourines, cymbals, maracas, triangles, drums and more. Children also interact with puppets, rhythm sticks, bean bags and colorful streamers. Many of the activities promote cognitive development through the use of numbers, colors, shapes and letters. Through movement, children work on coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, spatial awareness and positive body image through fantasy play and games. Activities help children to develop fine and gross motor skills.
